Ergonomic Assessments

Painful conditions, both acute and chronic, are often the result of the activities we do at work. This can be true of almost any occupation, whether it involves heavy manual labour or is very sedentary. Ergonomics is the study of people's efficiency and safety at work. Because osteopaths are experts in how the body works, they are well suited to assessing working conditions and practises and giving ergonomic advice. In addition to his undergraduate training, Martin completed his first postgraduate course in 2011 and then his advanced ergonomics course in 2012, both of which were accredited by the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.

We offer on-site ergonomic assessments to individuals, businesses, and organizations across the Fylde. Benefits of the service for the employer include: having a happier, healthier workforce; reduced absenteeism; reduced chances of litigation; complying with health and safety at work legislation; and for the employee, less chance of developing painful conditions and long-term or short-term ill-health. If you feel that you or your staff's working environment may potentially cause problems or may already be causing problems, then consider having an ergonomic assessment.
